According information in internet Lovech is one of the oldest towns in Bulgaria. Traces of human activities from very ancient times were found in the region, mainly in the caves near the town. The first inhabitants of the town were the  Thraciantribe of the Meldi, whose traces date back to the 4th or 3rd centuries BC. They founded their capital, called Melta.

Our club was founded in 1921. First name is Hisarya. From 1957 to 1979 its name was Karpachev. After that it has been renamed as Osam. In 1994 – Lex. From 1996 till present the owner of the club is Grisha Ganchev and he changed the name in  LITEX. In 1999 the club change the name again as Lovech and from 2000 till now again is Litex.
